Moldova Business Week 2026: Join the Exclusive Mission
Moldova may be one of Europe’s smallest markets for Trade. However, its economic direction could create some of the region’s biggest early opportunities.
From 27 September to 2 October 2026, a UK business delegation will travel to Chișinău for Moldova Business Week 2026.
Moldovan Diaspora Business Alliance Ltd and Ki Partnerships Ltd are organising the trade mission in association with Express Language Solutions Ltd.
Dina Railean, Chair of MDBA and Honorary Consul of the Republic of Moldova in Manchester, will co-lead the mission with Paul Kallee-Grover MBE, Founder and Managing Director of Ki Partnerships.
This visit offers more than conference attendance for Trade. Additionally, delegates will gain market insight, trusted guidance and useful relationships.
Why Moldova Business Week matters
Moldova Business Week is the country’s main platform for promoting Moldova as an investment destination and economic partner.
Firstly, the 2026 event will focus on three pillars of Trade.
- European economic integration
- Sector-based investment opportunities
- Exporting services
Across five days, the programme will offer fora, roundtables, study visits and business-to-business meetings. Discussions will cover energy, industry, IT, finance, construction, agri-food, automotive, infrastructure, tourism and medical services.
Furthermore, the programme connects delegates with people who understand Moldova’s markets and commercial priorities. Explore the official Moldova Business Week programme.
What the trade mission adds
Large events can feel difficult to navigate. Our mission will help delegates focus on opportunities that match their goals.
Support will include:
- A tailored market and mission briefing
- Guidance on business culture and etiquette
- Help choosing relevant sessions and visits
- Support with potential introductions
- Coordination during the week
- Follow-up guidance
The programme starts with a welcome dinner on Sunday 27 September. Delegates can begin building relationships before Moldova Business Week opens.
Interested businesses should email rm.honorary.consul@gmail.com to discuss joining the mission. Places will remain limited so that each delegate receives focused support.
A practical bridge for the Moldovan diaspora
Diaspora members understand Moldova and their countries of residence. Their experience can build trust between markets.
For entrepreneurs in the diaspora, the mission can create routes to:
- Identify partners and suppliers
- Bring knowledge and investment to Moldova
- Test ideas with local decision-makers
- Connect international companies with Moldovan talent
Consequently, diaspora engagement can support jobs, exports and stronger business standards at home.
A closer look for investors and digital nomads
Foreign investors need reliable people, clear information and a realistic view of operating conditions.
Moldova offers competitive operating costs. Eligible Moldova Innovation Technology Park residents can access a 7 per cent single tax, simplified compliance and virtual presence. Global IT specialists may also qualify for the IT Visa route. Review the official MITP benefits.
Meanwhile, mobile professionals can explore the business environment, community and cost base first-hand. The mission cannot replace legal, tax or immigration advice. However, it can help people ask better questions.
Why UK businesses should engage now
British companies can use the mission to assess new markets, sourcing options and partnerships.
Moldova offers skills in technology, services, manufacturing and agri-food. UK businesses can bring capital, specialist knowledge and international networks.
Therefore, early engagement can help firms understand the market before competition grows.
Trade that supports Moldova’s European future
Moldova opened accession negotiations with the EU in 2024. During 2026, the country opened negotiations on the fundamentals cluster and the external relations cluster.
In addition, the EU Growth Plan provides up to €1.9 billion between 2025 and 2027 to support reforms and economic integration. The EU already accounts for more than half of Moldova’s trade in goods. Read the European Council’s Moldova update.
Responsible investment and trade can help Moldovan businesses prepare for closer participation in the European economy.
Moldova’s role in Ukraine’s reconstruction
Moldova shares a border, infrastructure links and a European future with Ukraine.
Official investment research highlights opportunities linked to logistics, transport, energy, manufacturing, construction materials, agriculture and healthcare. See Invest Moldova’s reconstruction overview.
As a result, companies that build Moldovan relationships now may gain regional knowledge and supply-chain connections. They must still assess risk carefully.
Removing the language barrier
Commercial opportunities can fail through misunderstandings in contracts, meetings or business culture.
